Job Summary

To lead and manage the Finance & Accounts function of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial support to management for business decision‑making in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including General Ledger, AP & AR, Costing and inventory accounting.

Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends, and provide meaningful insights to management.

Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control

Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.

Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with corrective action plans.

Implement effective cost control measures, particularly in manufacturing costs, overheads, and capital expenditure.

Manufacturing Costing & Inventory Control

Oversee product costing, BOM costing, and standard costing processes.

Monitor inventory valuation, slow‑moving and obsolete inventory provisions.

Ensure accuracy of stock records and support periodic stock takes.

Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act, SST/GST, Withholding Tax and relevant.

Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators.

Manage annual audit process and resolve audit findings in a timely manner.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Manage cash flow planning and monitoring to ensure adequate liquidity.

Oversee banking facilities, payments, and collections.

Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Review and approve payment runs and ensure proper authorization controls.

Establish, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Lead, coach, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

Business Partnering & Strategic Support

Act as a key finance business partner to management and department heads.

Capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals

Pricing and profitability analysis

Business expansion or cost‑saving initiatives

Support management in strategic planning and decision‑making.

Key Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MIA is preferred.

Experience

Min 6 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.

Strong experience in manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax, and statutory requirements.

Solid understanding of manufacturing costing and inventory management.

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to communicate financial matters clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.

High level of integrity and attention to detail.
