This role involves leading financial planning and control functions, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing project costs. To lead and manage the company’s financial planning, reporting, and control functions – ensuring effective management of project finances, statutory compliance, and financial health of the organization. Key focus on financial strategy for property development and construction projects.
Handle full financial planning, annual budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting.
Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity of ongoing projects.
Monitor and control projects costs to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Coordinate closely with Project, QS, and Procurement teams on budgeting and cost management.
Prepare monthly accounts, management reports, and board reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, management accounts, and project performance reviews.
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure full statutory compliance with Malaysian financial laws, regulations (e.g. LHDN, SSM, SST).
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and regulatory authorities.
Support IPO preparation including documentation, reporting, and audit requirements.
Implement internal financial controls, SOPs, and risk mitigation procedures.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure financial discipline.
Manage project financing, loan applications, loan drawdowns, and financial documentation.
Support strategic financial decisions such as bridging loans, end-financing, or joint-venture structures.
Supervise and guide the accounts / finance team in daily operations.
Promote continuous improvement and upskilling within the team.
