Job summary

The company has branched out from being an independent finance advisory house to having a growing presence in the property development market in Klang Valley.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the finance function within the Group on the daily operation;
  • Review and analyse group weekly cash flow;
  • Prepare/review monthly management and consolidated accounts and analyse actual performance against budget;
  • Check and verify daily payments (Contractors, consultant and overhead) and petty cash (office expenses) to ensure payment in order and in compliance with standard operating and accounting procedure;
  • Check and verity inter-companies invoices; contractor invoices and supplier invoices to ensure all compliance to Act requirement;
  • Prepare, update and review project feasibility;
  • Prepare financial numbers and analysis for business plan;
  • Monitor and review the invoices, outstanding and interest calculation for Money Lending to borrowers.
  • Monitor and review the leasing invoices, outstanding and late payment interest.
  • Monitor and enhancing the internal control of Newfields Group;
  • Monitor all regulatory and tax compliance matters including but not limited to tax computation, tax return submission, tax payment, tax planning; SST computation and return; and Housing Development Act compliance.
  • Liaise with auditors on statutory audit and tax agents on tax submission;
  • Liaise with bankers and handle overall treasury function include PQMMD, UMMF, RC and others relevant documents;
  • Assist Group MD on ad-hoc assignment as and when required.
Job Requirements
  • Possess a professional degree eg. ACCA/CPA/MICPA and registered Chartered Accountant with MIA; at least 8 to 10 years of applicable business experience of which 8 must be in financial leadership role.
  • Experience in property/construction industry is an added advantage.
  • High integrity and honesty.
  • Good leader and educator who is trustworthy, willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
  • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment strong operational focus and a creative thinker.
  • Ability to navigate through complex financial situations to maximize results.
  • Well organized and self-directed.
