Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a finance professional to assist with month-end and year-end activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. This role will involve preparing financial reports and collaborating with various internal teams, as well as supporting statutory reporting and external audits. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and ready to take on ad-hoc assignments as needed. Experience with finance software like SAP B1 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries posting and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of management accounts with high-level variance analysis and commentary.
• Assist in preparation of various financial reports and support internal stakeholders.
• Assist in statutory reporting and regulatory submissions to BNM, ISM, PIAM, LFSA, and other relevant authorities.
• Support external audits through preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and responses to auditor queries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders by providing relevant financial data and insights.
• Assist in enhancing financial reporting processes, internal controls, and system improvements.
• Perform any other ad-hoc assignments as required.
