Job summary

A reputable financial services company in Malaysia seeks an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts, prepare monthly financial reports, and assist in budgeting and cash flow management. The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to work independently. Knowledge of accounting software is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred.
  • Willing to travel when required; possession of own transport is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for group companies.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily banking transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other external parties.
  • Prepare audit schedules, tax submissions, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor operating expenses and assist in cost control initiatives.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Perform ad-hoc finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Able to work independently, responsible, and meet deadlines.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
