We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in overseeing the company’s financial operations. This role involves managing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, taxation, and daily finance operations while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Manage daily finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in cash flow management, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, liaising with tax agents for filings and audits.
- Coordinate and support external and internal audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to queries.
- Review, implement, and strengthen internal controls and financial processes to improve efficiency and governance.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure accuracy and professional growth.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and financial projects as required by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MICPA are an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or XERO systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
