About the role

The Finance Analyst supports the Finance Business Partner and wider finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis, reporting, and planning for the business. The role is responsible for supporting management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The Finance Analyst works closely with commercial, operational, and accounting teams to provide financial insights that inform decision‑making and drive business performance.

Key Accountabilities
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting – Analyse financial data, prepare management reports, and provide insights for decision support. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Business Partnering – Work closely with commercial, operational, and accounting teams to understand business drivers, support decision‑making, and deliver financial insights.
  • Process Improvement – Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad‑hoc reports, tools, and dashboards. Support automation and digitalisation initiatives.
  • Compliance & Controls – Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures. Support audit requirements and statutory reporting as needed.
  • Ad‑hoc Analysis – Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis and modelling to support business initiatives and projects.
Critical Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, business, or economics preferred.
  • Minimum 2‑4 years’ experience in finance analyst or accounting roles, preferably in multinational or FMCG environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, management reporting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Familiarity with compliance and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain financial models and dashboards.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with finance, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management skills.
