Job summary

A leading equipment company is seeking a technically skilled individual to set up and commission machine installations at customer sites. The role requires providing technical feedback to the R&D Department and monitoring project performance. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fields, with hands-on experience in relevant technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The position is based in Penang, and travel within Malaysia and SEA may be necessary.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with die sorter platforms and vision applications highly preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a multiracial environment.

Job description

Set up and commission new machine installations at customer’s side

Provide technical feedback and failure analysis to R&D Dept

To monitor and track major projects and perform technical presentations to customers if necessary

Able to answer technical question and provide recommendations or solutions for application of machines at customers’ sites

Monitor machine performance regularly and perform data mining and analysis to provide recommendations for improvement.

Understand customer requirements and able to perform data mining and analysis to provide recommendations for improvement

Works on problems of diverse scope where data analysis is required evaluation of identifiable factors

Requires working closely with R&D team and Application team for complex issue investigation and solution implementation

Develop knowledge-based repository for FAQs and documentation

Travelling would be as needed to fulfil job responsibilities

Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)/Computer Engineering/Physics/ Applied Science/ Mechatronics or equivalent

Applicants must be able to travel in Malaysia and SEA, as per assign by Superior

At least 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and Malay

Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage to liaise with associates

Hands‑on experience with die sorter platforms and vision applications is highly preferred

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, willing to learn and work hard

Able to work independently

Team player and ability to work within multiracial environment

Possess strong oral, written and interpersonal skills

Possess teamwork spirit and positive attitude

Good and positive work attitude, self‑motivated with ability to work independently and in team environment

Semiconductor working experience in similar position is preferable

Must possess own transport

1. One (1) position to be based in Penang
2. One (1) position to be based in Penang, with potential future transfer to Singapore depending on business needs
