Hume Cement Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Executive, Procurement, to join our team in Gopeng, Perak. This full-time role will play a crucial part in supporting our company's manufacturing, transportation, and logistics operations by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of necessary materials and services.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet the organisation's operational requirements

Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing

Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities and preparing detailed reports

Identifying and evaluating new suppliers to expand the company's vendor network

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and preferences

Monitoring and analysing market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant purchasing regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Proficient in data analysis and the use of procurement software and tools

Minimum Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

Resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to meet deadlines
