Job description

To assist the Deputy Manager in establishing and implementing an effective compliance to all biomedical engineering services personnel staffs are qualify, competent and comply with statutory regulations and requirement for KPJ Group.

The position is responsible to ensure all biomedical engineering staff familiar and comply with statutory bodies such as DOSH, DOE, MDA, CKAPS etc. and monitoring with coordinating the day-to-day operation of the compliance function and introduce good working culture and good engineering practices and implementing service excellence and patient safety culture as priority objective of KPJ Group on all regulatory and corporate compliance matters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure all biomedical facility and asset listing are register, documentation is updated and obtained.
• To ensure all biomedical facility and asset operational requirement is complied with statutory bodies such as MDA, DOSH, DOE and other.
• To ensure all biomedical facility and asset listing licenses and certifications are updated and valid.
• To develop innovative, effectiveness and efficiency of biomedical facility and asset operation record management system.
• To effectively manage, monitor work performance of outsource contractors in ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of services provided in accordance to the standard / compliance and also to other supply chain.
• To ensure safety measure is in place and the biomedical asset are safe for its occupant and user.
• To develop, review, standardization, improve, Implement, and comply effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and comply with statutory regulations such accreditation agency as ISO, MSQH and other requirement including Risk Management SOP.
• To ensure and implementation use of computerized maintenance management system been utilized and enhance efficiency by all engineering staff department including ensure data and information accuracy in computerized maintenance management system to avoid wrong data and records.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Management from time to time or as and when necessary for the effective realization on the job purpose.
• To remain knowledgeable of Company’s products and current industry products and technologies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering/ Electronic Engineering
• Knowledge with 1-3 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering Maintenance Services in Healthcare Facilities Operation.
• Must have a register with engineering professional bodies e.g. BEM or other.
• Knowledge and experience in other Specialist Biomedical equipment maintenance and management e.g., Radiology, Diagnostic, Laboratory and Therapeutic.
• Knowledge and experience in Asset Management and familiar with Computerized Asset Maintenance Management System is a plus
