Position Description Summary

We are hiring an aspiring associate project manager, officially titled the Associate Event & Décor Experience Crafter, carefully sourced from highly performing project executives with at least 2-4 years of relevant experience in event, décor, or experiential work.

Hybrid Function

The Associate Experience Crafter holds a hybrid function that bridges concept development, client management, project coordination, on-site execution liaison, and post-mortem review.

Ideal Candidates

Ideal candidates can support pitch proposals, manage multi-stakeholder coordination, and lead project execution with growing autonomy. A background in Brand/ Marketing adds strong relevance and weight to the shortlisting process.

You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders – management, clients, designers, production & project support teams, and project partners – to deliver impactful, seamless, and brand-aligned physical experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Project Pitching

Assist in shaping proposal decks with strategic and creative inputs.

Support pitch-winning concept development including brand insights and storytelling, creative big idea and expression that aligns to clients’ briefs.

Prepare clean, structured, and visually coherent decks using PowerPoint/Canva.

Project Development & Coordination

Prepare project workbacks, timelines, checklists, and logistic plans to keep teams aligned.

Coordinate with internal designers, production teams, project support, and external project partners.

Monitor progress to ensure on-time, quality delivery aligned with client expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Communicate professionally with clients on updates, requirements, and action items.

Prepare and present meeting notes, progress summaries, and follow-ups.

Manage expectations with clarity, transparency, and proactive problem-solving.

Lead coordination with production team across set-up, event running, and dismantling of project builds.

Troubleshoot on site with composure and solution-driven thinking.

Uphold Blue Apple Crafter’s standards in safety, workmanship, and execution quality.

Project Operations and Documents

Lead coordination of quotations and invoice closures, sourcing lists, work orders, and purchasing documents.

Track project costs, logistics, payments, and supplier communication.

Maintain accurate records, approvals, and post-mortem documentation.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Mass Communication, Design, Business, or related fields.

Marketing or creative background preferred - able to understand brand direction and consumer logic.

Possesses own transportation.

Skills

Strong event management and project coordination capability.

Understanding of marketing logic and production technicalities is highly valued.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin; moderate proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients.

Strong creative sense – awareness of market and social media trends, ability to evaluate aesthetics, spatial flow, and brand alignment.
