ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN. ELECTRICAL MANAGEMENT
An Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment at construction, industrial, and project sites. This hands‑on role supports engineers and supervisors by ensuring safe and efficient execution of on‑site electrical work in compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist in implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for electrical systems including HM, UPS, SCADA, E‑Block, Reefer, Street Light, Building Lightings, SCTS, High Bay, and others according to the maintenance schedule and report any irregularities. Availability & reliability of equipment.
- Works closely with engineer/Contractor/Subcontractor to ensure safety standards are complied with throughout the department. Supports coordination during inspection with management/Consultant or other stakeholders.
- Assist in analyzing reactive and proactive work progress data for improvement.
- Assist in managing spare part inventory for electrical related area.
- Submit continuous in‑house improvement activity.
- Responsible for on‑call duty, major breakdown or emergency promptly.
- Record and report all findings on unsafe system and non‑conformance of these act/ regulation to superiors.
- All work shall ensure complied with all local legislation such as Electricity Supply Act 1990, Electricity Regulations 1994, Efficient Management of Electrical Energy Regulation (EMEER 2008), OSHA, FMA, and PTP requirements.
- Responsible for duties as stated in Local Legislation such as Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulation 1994.
- Perform any other duties as directed by superior from time to time.
- Responsible for the implementation of Information Security (IS) and IT Policies that reflect the organizations needs with regard to the protection of information and assets and the integrity and privacy of the organizations intellectual property.
REQUIREMENT
- Possess a minimum Certification of PW4/A0/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-3 years’ working experience.
- Possess electrical maintenance skills.
- Ability to handle electrical breakdown and troubleshoot in safety manner.
- Possess a keen eye for details and accuracy.
- Possess capability in record keeping and excellent in MS Office applications.
- Possess good communication and writing in English and Malay.
