Job description

Electrical Technician cum Chargeman A4 Certificate

Responsible for plant facilities and machinery, especially electrical systems, to ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshooting of system abnormalities (utility failures/machine failures including electrical and PLC) and provide technical solutions.

Support emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 11kV electrical equipment and related systems.

Ensure the safety and compliance of switchgears, cables, and transformers through meticulous oversight and maintenance.

Swiftly respond to breakdowns and restore power supply.

Lead the charge in upgrading plant equipment, from planning to procurement and implementation.

Perform an operational and preventive maintenance task.

Assist external contractors and vendors and maintain safety standards.

Attend and manage planned and unplanned start up and shutdown or breakdown either facility system or whole plant.

Ensure system compliance to company local, national and international regulatory such as DOSH, DOE, Bomba, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and etc.

Maintain all maintenance stock is in order.

Ensure the safety of electrical systems by testing and inspecting components for potential hazards.

Any special and ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior, from time to time.

Requirements:

Upon employment, can attend course to obtain and will be appointed as Competent Person (B0–11kV Terhad) for the company.

Min 2 years of experience in 11KV switching and H.T equipment trouble shooting, electrical engineering/Pump motors/main switch board and Control.

Able to read electrical and machine circuit diagrams and perform troubleshooting.

Able to perform in any field which involve facilities support.

Good communication skill & work with minimum supervision and able to participate in teamwork.

Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Self-motivated, positive working attitude.

Able to perform rotating shift, willing to work on weekends & Public Holidays.
