Role Summary
- The role of the Electrical Site Supervisor is responsible to coordinate the work of several external companies that have been hired for the installation of a trade with the interests of the project.
- The coordination of a technically flawless, timely and economical implementation of the installation in compliance with the project contractual obligations at the assembly site is also included.
- Assure that all resources under his responsibility adhere to HSE rules and regulations.
Main Duties
- Be the contact person for the external company with regard to their scope of services and interfaces.
- Construction or building services; Discuss work documents with the installation sub-project manager.
- Collaborate in planning the site infrastructure.
- Carry out or organize training for employees (subject-specific, health & safety, customer regulations).
- Coordinate material requirements for call-off orders with interim storage.
- Make progress Clarify faults in the assembly process, diagnose errors, suggest remedial measures, if necessary, request missing and spare parts.
- Carry out a systematic, technical check of the scope of delivery of the installation using sketches, plans, manuals, checklists, etc.
- Monitor work execution and check results Draw up lists of defects and control their processing
- Evaluate directing hours; The site manager releases directing hours.
- Create and forward changes or deviations in the documentation.
- Preparatory work for the creation of the as-built documentation
- Provide KPI of installation.
- Coordination with pre-commissioning teams.
- Support for commissioning activities
- Provide quality documentation to QmIP
- Follow all quality gates
Other Responsibilities
- Provide instructions on occupational safety to the installation companies.
- Full responsibilities for direct reporters, Internal / External.
- Documents for installation on the construction site
- Escalation to the site manager as soon as there is a delay or insufficient qualification of the installation company’s employees
- Ensure that the installation is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements
- Coordination of activities on the construction site according to the schedule
- Safety in connection with the mutual influence of two or more trades
- Approval of directing hours according to the project-specific regulations
Experience, Qualification & Education
- A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Several years of experience (typically 5-10 years) working in electrical installation, maintenance, and supervision roles – large-scale industrial projects is a plus.
- Previous experience working on projects in diverse regions (Middle East, Asia, Africa, etc.) is highly valued.
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge about automation and programming is a plus.
- Depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, wiring, and controls.
- Expertise in handling both low and high-voltage systems, electrical panels, and machinery.
- International Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with international electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly, effectively, and safely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and mentor a diverse team, promoting collaboration, motivation, and safety.
- Leadership or team management experience is an advantage.
