MSR Green Energy Sdn Bhd – Rembau, Negeri Sembilan


MSR Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. ("MSR-GE"), a leading EPCC contractor in Malaysia’s RE sector, is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer with over three (3) years of experience for a site-based role under a fixed 2.5-year contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising and executing electrical works for utility-scale RE projects, including Large-Scale Solar PV ("LSS") and potentially Battery Energy Storage Systems ("BESS").


This position will be initially assigned for a short-term stint at our Rembau, Negeri Sembilan LSS project site, before a subsequent redeployment to another LSS site in Bachok, Kelantan.


Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise and coordinate all site mechanical and electrical works, including MV/LV cable routing, containment, terminations, earthing systems, and HV and PV Solar equipment installation

  • Oversee installation and interface works for key equipment such as Power Conversion Systems ("PCS"), transformers, HV equipment, switchgear, battery enclosures/racks, solar inverters, and auxiliary systems

  • Ensure electrical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable regulatory standards

  • Support testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including loop checks, insulation resistance testing, functional verification, and energisation procedures

  • Coordinate with QA/QC personnel, internal project team, subcontractors, OEM vendors, and consultants to ensure smooth and timely execution of electrical scope

  • Monitor site progress, prepare daily and weekly reports, and assist in resolving technical and coordination issues during construction

  • Review and support the preparation of redline drawings, as-built documentation, and project handover packages

  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with all electrical safety protocols and site-specific HSE requirements


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

  • 3+ years of site-based experience in electrical engineering, ideally within substation, solar PV, or utility-scale infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV (AC) systems, DC systems, electrical installation standards, and grid integration practices

  • Familiarity with Malaysian utility and regulatory requirements, as well as relevant IEC standards

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office; proficiency in AutoCAD or project scheduling software is an added advantage

  • Excellent coordination, reporting, and communication skills

  • Valid CIDB Green Card and NTSP are required; additional certifications (e.g., PW4, Chargeman BO) are an advantage
