Electrical Engineer (Electronic Manufacture/ Chief Engineer)

Our client is a manufacturing‑oriented electronics contractor based in Southeast Asia, offering full-cycle electronic manufacturing services (EMS) including PCB assembly, transformer and coil production, power supplies, LED lighting, chargers, and data‑centre racks. It caters to both traditional electronics and growing markets such as renewable energy and IoT devices. With facilities across multiple sites and a strong focus on quality control, the company handles OEM/ODM projects from bare PCB through to finished products, positioning itself as a comprehensive “one‑stop” electronics/ hardware solution provider.

Job Description

Act as the primary technical liaison with major European clients, handling technical discussions, clarifications, and project coordination.

Serve as the Chief Engineer for the assigned manufacturing division, providing technical leadership and supervising junior engineers.

Lead engineering design reviews and technical evaluations to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Oversee technical problem-solving for production issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as production, quality, and procurement to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing processes.

Support new product introductions by defining technical standards, processes, and validation requirements.

Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product performance, reliability, and production efficiency.

Job Requirements

Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in the electronic device manufacturing industry.

Strong working knowledge of: Electronic components, Electrical circuits, Manufacturing equipment, Inspection and testing devices.

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with customers, engineers, and cross‑functional teams.

Experience in supervising engineers or leading technical teams is highly preferred.

Hands‑on experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of production and quality processes.

Mandarin speaker is preferred to communicate with Chinese clients.

Compensation

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: 9 hours/day (1 hour break); 8am - 5pm / 7am - 4pm

Transportation allowance: RM100–RM200 (depending on distance)

Food allowance: RM5 per day

Life insurance & accident insurance provided

EPF, SOCSO provided
