Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support solar farm and BESS projects in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Qualifications

• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia); possessing a Competent Engineer certificate from ST is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings and cable sizing for MV and HV systems.
• Design protection schemes and select settings for relays, breakers and switchgears to ensure system safety.
• Provide technical site supervision during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Lead the electrical testing & commissioning process before the plant goes commercial.

Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support client's CRESS & BESS projects. You are responsible to bridge the gap between complex designs and physical execution. You will be responsible for the electrical infrastructure of CRESS-approved solar farms and BESS installations, ensuring that every component from the panel to the injection point is engineered for excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Design: Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings and cable sizing for MV and HV systems
• Protection Coordination: Design protection schemes and select settings for relays, breakers and switchgears to ensure system safety
• Project Execution: Provide technical site supervision during the installation and commissioning phases, ensuring adherence to Malaysian standards
• Testing & Commissioning (T&C): Lead the electrical T&C process before the plant goes "Commercial Operation Date" (COD)

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical infrastructure, preferably in Solar PV or Substation projects
• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia); possessing a Competent Engineer certificate from ST is a significant advantage
