Job description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used throughout the battery manufacturing process.

Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical engineering, preferably in manufacturing or automotive battery production.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, PLCs, control systems, and automation in an industrial setting.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining complex electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with CAD software and electrical design tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices is a plus.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in our Factory in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical machinery and systems used in battery manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of electrical issues, minimizing downtime and production interruptions.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and repair faults in electrical equipment such as automated machines, production lines, and control systems.
  • Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the continuous and optimal performance of electrical circuits, motors, controllers, and other equipment.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and machinery in the production line.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for the procurement and installation of electrical components as required.
  • Analyse and suggest improvements to existing electrical systems, machinery, and processes for increased efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
  • Monitor and optimize energy usage of electrical systems and equipment to ensure cost‑effective operations and minimize energy waste.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, including equipment inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues affecting production.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with the production, quality, and engineering teams to support ongoing manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
