Overview
We are looking for skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Technician with expertise in both Electrical/Electronics (E&E) and Plumbing systems. This unique role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment—from electrical control panels and machine electronics to water supply lines, and related fixtures. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our integrated building and process systems.
Responsibilities
- Installation & Assembly: Assemble, wire, and install electrical control panels, machinery, and electronic systems according to schematics, blueprints, and engineering instructions. Perform maintenance on plumbing-related equipment, including pumps, piping, backflow prevention devices, and sump systems.
- Maintenance & Calibration: Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment, instrumentation, and electronic devices. Calibrate sensors, transducers, and controllers.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and rectify faults in AC/DC circuits, motor drives, PLC I/O systems, power supplies, and other electronic assemblies using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
- Testing & Inspection: Conduct functional tests on new and repaired equipment. Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes safety standards, and company quality procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, test reports, parts used, and as-built modifications to wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, other technicians, and production staff to support project execution, continuous improvement initiatives, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and participate in safety meetings and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s degree, technical diploma, or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as an E&E Technician in a relevant industry (manufacturing, automation, telecommunications, etc.). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
- Strong hands-on skills in soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly.
- Solid understanding of electrical theory (Ohm's Law, power distribution, 3-phase systems) and electronic components (PCBs, transistors, relays, sensors).
- Experienced in using diagnostic tools: Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Meggers, Signal Generators.
- Basic familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 20 kilograms, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments (shop floor, control rooms, etc.).
- May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or around energized equipment (with proper training and PPE).
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, travel, or weekends as required for critical support.
- Valid driver\'s license.
