Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented E-Commerce Operation Assistant Manager / Manager to lead and optimize our online store operations across multiple platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, etc.). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, improving efficiency, managing cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence to ensure a seamless online shopping experience for our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end e-commerce operations, including product listings, pricing accuracy, stock availability, order processing, and fulfillment performance.
- Lead and supervise the e-commerce operations team to ensure smooth daily execution and timely delivery of all operational tasks.
- Monitor platform performance metrics and ensure compliance with marketplace requirements (SLA, store rating, campaign participation, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with the Brand, Marketing, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure effective coordination for campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
- Analyze sales and operational data to identify trends, forecast demand, and implement process improvements to enhance store efficiency and conversion rates.
- Manage and liaise with external stakeholders such as Marketplace Account Managers, Logistics Partners, and Payment Gateways to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Oversee return/refund processes and customer service escalations to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales growth, inventory status, and operational KPIs to management.
- Identify gaps in workflow and implement process optimization initiatives to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
- Support management in planning and executing e-commerce projects, system integrations, and new feature rollouts.
- Perform other related tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the superior or company.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in E-Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in e-commerce operations, preferably with exposure to major online marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce processes including order fulfillment, inventory management, and campaign execution.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and e-commerce backend systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Good proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Malay – Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional teams.
