A multinational engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Document Controller to support project documentation and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, at least 3 years of relevant experience in document control or construction projects, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure project success.
Support the coordination and flow of project documentation, including drawings, submissions, and communications. Coordinate all activities related to the Document Process procedure, including technical documents and drawings.
Help maintain document registers and ensure information is organized and accessible. Maintain and manage document control of submittals, transmittals, and RFIs including distribution.
Maintain updated records of all approved documents and drawings and their distribution clearly.
Input document data into the standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date.
Manage documents through a range of document control systems such as Aconex and Procore. Learn and grow your skills in document control platforms such as Aconex and Procore.
Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to understand how documentation supports project success. Liaise with intercompany Project Managers and Engineers to support staff in assigned project-based work.
Assist project teams with administrative tasks that keep projects on track and aligned.
Be a proactive contributor to a team that values clarity, structure, and continuous improvement.
Any other job duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in BusinessAdministration or in a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in administrative.
Experience in document control and construction related projects.
Proven work experience as a Document Controller. Familiarity with project management.
Proficient typing and editing skills including data organization skills.
Good command of English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office(MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software tools.
