Job summary

A leading property development firm in George Town, Malaysia is seeking a Project Manager to oversee various projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and 1-2 years of experience in property project planning. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards. Candidates fluent in Malay and English are preferred, with Mandarin being an added advantage.

Job description

Strategize, oversee, and successfully conclude projects within specified timelines, ensuring adherence to local government guidelines, regulations, requirements, and standards.

Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to successful completion. Identify, analyze, evaluate, and propose solutions to address design and planning challenges.

Effectively manage, monitor, and oversee the development of project schedules to expedite construction progress and ensure consultants adhere to scheduled timelines for plan production.

Review construction drawings and specifications for suitability and adequacy of details.

Proactively anticipate and identify planning issues, independently collaborating with consultants to resolve problems.

Take charge of leading, planning, and coordinating activities with the entire project team, both internal and external, to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Conduct regular site meetings and inspections to closely monitor the progress of work.

Post-Project Review to ensure benefits are realized.

Establish close communication and coordination with relevant authorities to secure timely approvals, licenses, permits, and clearance letters.

Any other work assignments given by The Management.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Property Management, Town & Regional Planning or equivalent from recognized higher learning institution.

At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the extensive exposure in property project and planning development with exposure dealing with authorities.

Knowledgeable in Property Project Planning and construction management.

Strategic and demonstrate a high level of business sense.

Possess good skill in planning and supervision.

Able to speak in Malay, English, Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Experience in liaising with authorities to obtain necessary approvals for property development is an added advantage.

Understand the detail drawings, standard and work program and able to understand process of Inspection & requirement.

Pleasant personality, independent, strong leadership, teamwork, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Independence and able to meet deadlines.
