Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Deputy Manager - Planning based in Malaysia

Primary Duties:
  1. Support the Planning Manager to drive organizational priorities for Planning through effective resource management and service improvement opportunities.
  2. Develop systems and procedures for planning functions at project initiation and as per client requirements to facilitate monitoring of construction and commissioning.
  3. Finalize staffing requirements for planning engineers in consultation with the Planning Manager.
  4. Develop, implement, and maintain planning deliverables such as construction schedules, resource histograms, reporting systems, commodity databases, and material control systems. Provide guidance to the project control team at HO/site.
  5. Prepare detailed progress measurement systems for construction commodities and progress curves, aiding resource requirement determination and manpower planning.
  6. Monitor construction progress to ensure timely project execution through regular reports and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.
  7. Continuously review project status and keep the Construction Manager informed of progress and areas needing attention for schedule adherence.
  8. Guide subcontractor planning teams in formulating execution plans to ensure project completion.
  9. Coordinate with subcontractors to implement work schedules and monitor progress for timely execution.
  10. Work closely with Area Coordinators to ensure work progresses as per schedule and overall project priorities.
  11. Participate in review meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  12. Identify trends and alert management of critical activities.
  13. Contribute to departmental development activities for continual improvement of planning systems and services.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager or PCM of the project.
  15. Minimum Requirements:

    Graduate engineer with approximately 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with familiarity in project execution and planning at both head office and site levels.
