Primary Duties:
- Support the Planning Manager to drive organizational priorities for Planning through effective resource management and service improvement opportunities.
- Develop systems and procedures for planning functions at project initiation and as per client requirements to facilitate monitoring of construction and commissioning.
- Finalize staffing requirements for planning engineers in consultation with the Planning Manager.
- Develop, implement, and maintain planning deliverables such as construction schedules, resource histograms, reporting systems, commodity databases, and material control systems. Provide guidance to the project control team at HO/site.
- Prepare detailed progress measurement systems for construction commodities and progress curves, aiding resource requirement determination and manpower planning.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure timely project execution through regular reports and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.
- Continuously review project status and keep the Construction Manager informed of progress and areas needing attention for schedule adherence.
- Guide subcontractor planning teams in formulating execution plans to ensure project completion.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to implement work schedules and monitor progress for timely execution.
- Work closely with Area Coordinators to ensure work progresses as per schedule and overall project priorities.
- Participate in review meetings with clients and subcontractors.
- Identify trends and alert management of critical activities.
- Contribute to departmental development activities for continual improvement of planning systems and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager or PCM of the project.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate engineer with approximately 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with familiarity in project execution and planning at both head office and site levels.
