Reporting lines: Finance Manager
Headcounts reporting to this role: Accounts Executive and Accounts Assistant
Take overall ownership of monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and income statements.
Provide detailed analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for senior management.
Prepare and review regional (APAC) and Head Office (Germany) reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and local accounting standards.
Drive process improvements and system optimizations for financial reporting and analysis.
Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance team, including Accounts Executive and Accounts Assistant.
Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines are met.
Act as second-in-command to Finance Manager, making decisions on finance operations in their absence.
Build team capability and ensure knowledge transfer and succession planning.
Lead or assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections at entity and group levels.
Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
Monitor and report variances between actuals and budget and recommend corrective actions to management.
Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other external parties.
Assist Finance Manager in finalizing statutory audits, statutory accounts, corporate tax computation, and tax filings.
Establish and enforce internal controls, financial policies, and governance standards.
Act as a trusted financial advisor to management, providing insight to drive operational efficiencies and profitability.
Support the Finance Manager in ad‑hoc financial analysis, strategic projects, and business initiatives.
Identify areas for cost optimisation and process improvements across departments.
Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
Extensive experience in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred) and strong Excel skills.
Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting background; experience with perpetual inventory systems is an advantage.
Proven experience managing a finance team and providing hands‑on leadership.
Confident, proactive, efficient, and adaptable with a growth mindset.
Ability to improve processes, implement best practices, and communicate effectively with department heads and senior management.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination at a senior level.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and business partnering skills.
Demonstrated ability to act as deputy / second‑in‑command to Finance Manager, with the capability to make key finance decisions in their absence.
