Debug Associate Engineer (Based in Ipoh)
Job Short Description: Technicians / Senior Technicians / Associate Engineer I for Debug
Job Responsibilities
To assist the product engineer in terms of product family in achieving yield target; scrap cost target, debug accuracy target & lean projects eval.
- Support for PE evaluations, projects and analysis, BOM cost improvements evaluations (over temp), Test time reduction projects, Prime Yield improvement, Spec file verifications / qualifications (include Partest) and Support and confirm OBA failure and analysis; ROHS debug and failure analysis; Real Time debug – debug findings reports.
- Improvement in debug accuracy through training with PE buddy (RWK, NTF accuracy; retest reduction opportunities).
- Scrap Cost Monitoring by Product.
- Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Derive Continual Improvement. Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
- Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Optoelectronics or Telecommunications).
- At least 5 years of experience in optical device testing/repair related industry and in mass production environment.
- Familiar with basic knowledge and principle of optical devices.
- Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
- With good computer literacy, good communication skill and reporting of information/ data.
- Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics.
- Familiarity with test instruments (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Experience in troubleshooting PCBA preferred.
- Can work independently and work with support teams as needed.
- Has basic knowledge of optical circuit, circuit analysis, problem solving and master the use of optical module test instruments.
