Job description

The Data Operator is responsible for managing and processing data for smart card production and personalization. This includes data entry, data verification, encoding, quality control, and secure handling of customer information to ensure smooth production and issuance of smart cards such as banking cards, ID cards, or access control cards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and format customer or client data files according to production requirements.
• Import and manage data within smart card personalization software and systems.
• Ensure data accuracy and security throughout the process.
• Perform regular backups and maintain logs of processed data and production activities.
• Collaborate with the IT and Production teams to troubleshoot data errors and system issues.
• Comply with company and industry standards for data privacy, especially in regulated sectors (banking or government)
• Conduct quality assurance checks on personalized cards to ensure data is accurately encoded.
• Report any discrepancies or production issues to supervisors.
• Maintain detailed records of job orders, data files, and processing outcomes.

Requirements

• SPM or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in data operations.
• Can speak mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Willing to follow strict security and confidentiality protocols.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) and basic database systems.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines during peak periods.
• Familiarity with smart card personalization tools and software is an advantage.
