Requirements

• Experience: Experience with rotogravure printing cylinders or similar equipment is often required.
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and interpret blueprints or work instructions are essential.
• Attention to Detail: Must have a high level of focus and a commitment to quality to ensure precision in the engraving process.
• Physical Ability: Must be physically fit enough to handle the demands of the job, which may include lifting and moving parts or cylinders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues that arise during operation.
• Safety Awareness: Must follow all safety rules and wear the required personal protective equipment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate engraving machines, monitoring their performance to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Quality Control: Monitor machine output to maintain high standards and dimensional accuracy, inspecting finished products for defects.
• Adjustments and Calibration: Make precise adjustments to machine settings, such as engraving depth and speed, to meet specific job requirements.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines to keep them in optimal condition.
• Materials Handling: Feed the machine with necessary raw materials and parts, and handle finished pieces.
• Documentation: Complete required production documentation, reports, and data entry as needed.
