Job summary

A retail organization in Penang is looking for a customer service representative to manage the Information Counter and provide excellent service to customers. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, managing the CRM system, and ensuring a clean service area. Candidates should have at least SPM/STPM/Professional Certificate and preferably 1 to 2 years of experience, but fresh graduates are welcome. Shift rotation and a pleasant demeanor are required.

  • 1 to 2 years of working experience specializing in Customer Service is preferred.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the Information Counter and exhibit excellent customer service skills in the course of duty.
  • Provide timely and accurate clarification and advice to inquiries from the public.
  • Perform paging and in-house announcement based on the standard guidelines and paging scripts.
  • Handle the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System which includes data capturing, keying-in, updating, etc.
  • Handle customers’ feedback and complaints.
  • Receive incoming calls and make outgoing calls.
  • Ensure that proper housekeeping is performed on a regular basis so that the Customer Service Counter is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assist in Marcom’s events as well as other promotional activities.
  • Perform simple administrative and clerical duties.
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a school qualification (SPM/STPM)/Professional Certificate in any field.
  • Preferably with 1 to 2 years working experience specializing in Customer Service or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Possess a pleasant disposition and passion for service excellence.
  • Be proactive and attentive to details.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local dialects is an advantage.
  • Be able to rotate on shifts and work varied hours or days including weekends and public holidays.
