A global logistics provider in Penang is seeking an experienced In-Plant Customs Supervisor/Executive to manage onsite customs operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with customs processes and provide leadership in a dynamic environment. Candidates should possess a KEK Certificate and have at least 2–3 years of experience in customs operations. The role includes daily oversight of operations, liaising with Customs Officers, and maintaining accurate documentation. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
We are looking for an experienced and responsible In-Plant Customs Supervisor/Executive to lead our onsite customs operations at Customer's premises. This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of customs processes, and the ability to ensure full compliance while supporting smooth daily operations within an in-plant environment.
To ensure all the custom related processes run smoothly, accurately, and without failure.
To ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Royal Custom Requirements
Liaise with Customs Officers and FCZ Officers to manage approvals, discrepancies, and operational issues.
Provide advice and solutions for customs-related shipment movement issues.
Oversee daily form submissions via AEO, ALDEC, ZPB AM, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Update SOPs promptly when there are process changes or new requirements.
Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of all customs documents, including Terima Masuk and customs declaration forms.
Support and attend to customs audits, ensuring full compliance and readiness.
Provide operational support and advice to superiors for any inquiries arising from internal or external stakeholders.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the superior.
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in customs operations (import/export, clearance, FCZ or in-plant environment).
Possess a valid KEK Certificate (Sijil Perakuan Kastam).
Strong understanding of Customs Act, regulations, tariff codes, FCZ procedures, and related compliance requirements.
Proven ability to build and maintain good rapport with Customs Officers and other regulatory bodies.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently, make sound decisions, and handle operational challenges effectively.
High level of responsibility, accuracy, and integrity in documentation and reporting.
