We are looking for an experienced Crane Maintenance Technician to carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works for Crawler Cranes and All-Terrain (Tyre Mounted Hydraulic) Cranes. The role involves mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems, with frequent site travel and flexible working hours based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance services for crawler cranes and all-terrain hydraulic cranes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine faults (Liebherr, Cummins, Mercedes, etc.)
- Carry out basic welding and gas cutting work when required
- Perform greasing activities, including general greasing, telescopic boom greasing, and wire rope greasing
- Overhaul hydraulic cylinders and related components
- Troubleshoot electrical starting system issues
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits including winch, slewing, derrick, and outrigger systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components
- Troubleshoot Safe Load Indicator (SLI) systems, including calibration of angle sensors, load cells, etc.
- Conduct crane inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Perform crane installation, erection, commissioning, testing, and handover in accordance with manufacturer and safety standards.
- Maintain minimum stock levels of oils and spare parts
- Ensure proper documentation of all activities and upload records into AX system
- Travel frequently to multiple project sites
- Work on holidays and extended hours as per site requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics or equivalent technical qualification
- 3 to 7 years of experience in crane maintenance and servicing (Crawler Cranes / All-Terrain Cranes preferred)
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Hands‑on experience with engine troubleshooting (Liebherr, Cummins, Mercedes)
- Familiarity with Safe Load Indicator (SLI) systems and calibration procedures
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics and manuals
- Experience in crane installation, erection, and commissioning
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Safety‑conscious with a proactive work attitude
Preferred Skills
- Experience working at construction, oil & gas, or heavy equipment sites
- Knowledge of AX system or similar maintenance management systems
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- Team player with good problem‑solving abilities
