Job summary

A leading travel agency in Malaysia is looking for a Ticketing Consultant with at least 3 years of experience in the travel industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Sabre GDS, Amadeus, and Galileo, and be fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities include handling reservations, assisting with travel-related services, and ensuring accuracy in ticketing. Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in the tourism industry or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Ticketing Consultant within the travel industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Sabre GDS (Global Distribution System) and knowledge of Amadeus and Galileo as travel agent (MIMIMUM 3 YEARS)
  • Able to book flights, issue, re-issue and refund tickets
  • Strong knowledge of airline ticketing procedures, fare structures, fare rules and reservation systems
  • Able to work independently and have good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Passionate for travel, tourism and hospitality industry
  • Experience in corporate travel management or related roles is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Handle daily reservation & ticketing enquires
  • Ensure timely issuance of tickets and flight reservations to meet the demand of our clients
  • Assist in visa requirements, car rental, accommodation and other related travel services
  • Address any issues or emergencies that may arise during travel.
  • Ensure accuracy in travel bookings, including departure and arrival dates, passenger information and special requests
  • Provide timely and accurate assistance to clients
  • Maintaining good relationships with our FIT and Corporate clients
  • Able to handle emergency ticketing matters
  • Able to work on a shift rotation basis after working hoursFamiliarity with international travel regulations and requirements.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and other travel service providers
