Job summary

A corporate entity in Kuching, Malaysia, is seeking a Personal Assistant to support the Managing Director (MD). The ideal candidate will manage the MD’s schedule, coordinate meetings, and provide advice on business and legal matters. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years of corporate affairs experience. Strong communication and an understanding of governance are essential. This role is pivotal in maintaining professional operations and ensuring effective communication.

Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in corporate affairs or executive-level support preferred.
  • Ability to represent the MD professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Review and check all documents before they reach the MD.
  • Provide advice to the MD on business operations and legal issues.

Job Responsibilities

Review and check all documents including those related to legal or business matters, before they reach the MD.

Provide advice to the MD on business operations, legal issues, potential risks, and any concerns that may affect the company.

Manage the MD’s schedule and coordinate meetings with both internal and external parties.

Act as the MD’s first point of contact and handle enquiries or requests on the MD’s behalf.

Prepare corporate presentation and assist in presenting when required.

Support public relations, investor relations and corporate communication matters as part of daily operations.

Provide Personal Assistant–level support when needed, including coordinating travel, appointments, and follow-up tasks.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Law, Business Administration, Corporate Communications or related field
  • Preferably 3 – 5 years of experience in corporate affairs, legal operations, investor relations, public relations or executive-level support
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the MD professionally.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, corporate governance, and basic legal principles.
