Job summary

A reputable corporate group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal support and manage legal functions across various businesses. The ideal candidate should have a tertiary qualification in Law and 3 years of experience in private practice or in-house. Responsibilities include drafting contracts, managing compliance risks, and liaising with external parties for legal matters. A strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and manage legal functions for the Group's businesses.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial and corporate contracts.
• Act as legal and compliance risk officer for the company.
• Identify legal and compliance risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with government bodies and external contractors for legal compliance.
