The Contracts & Commercial Manager – Projects, provides Contractual & Commercial leadership within a multi discipline Subsea project. You will take responsibility for the contractual and financial delivery of the project in accordance with the execution plan.

Reporting operationally to the Regional Contracts Director, the role provides the key interface between the internal business units, functions, Product Line Centre’s of Excellence and client, helping shape overall execution strategy and ensure profitability.

As the Contracts & Commercial Manager – Projects you will be responsible for:
  • All Commercial & Contractual aspects of large‑scale, complex projects and act as the primary authority for Contractual matters;
  • Management of all contractual related aspects, including commercial arrangements, variations, amendments, adherence and reporting;
  • Establish and maintain compliance with the specific Contract requirements;
  • Provide leadership, advice, and guidance to senior management on specific contractual matters;
  • Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed across the scopes of work by controlling the overall project profile and opportunity review;
  • Oversee contractual engagement for key subcontracts and major purchases to ensure risks are mitigated and opportunities managed; and
  • Drive the commercial performance of awarded projects.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or, other relevant legal, commercial, energy related degree.
  • Substantial contract management experience in an energy, resources or capital construction environments.
  • Proven track record in contributing to the improvement of project profitability, cash flow and control of commercial risk.
  • Possess full understanding and working knowledge of the key legal risk areas and obligations for major projects.
  • Commercially, financially and contractually aware with good communication, inter‑personal and skills.
  • Proven capability of working in a matrix environment and of leading by influence.
  • Willing to work at a detailed level.
