Job description

Contract Executive - Electrical (Kota Damansara)

• Prepare cost analysis based on the engineering estimates, materials required and labour involved.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
• Prepare cost plan to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with engineers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities for subcontractors.
• Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
• Monitor and keep track of project progress and responsible for the measurement and valuation of variants in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final accounts.
• Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
• Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.
• Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labours, material and subcontractor cost forecasting thus ensuring budgets adhered to.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably candidates who has at least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin (able to converse in mandarin will be an added advantage)
• Able to work independently with good interpersonal skills and able to communicate to all levels.
