The role

As a Consultant (Strategic Planning) at SIRIM BERHAD, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will use your expertise in strategy and planning to help drive the company's long-term objectives and growth initiatives. This full-time position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage strategic planning inputs for Budget & Business plan, proposals, and policy papers, cabinet paper/white paper/write-ups. Develop and lead procedures and systems for the department in order strengthen integrity and governance, quality, OSH, environmental, and business performance.
• Conduct Stakeholder Engagement/ dialogues/ seminars/ forums/ workshops/conferences.
• Represent SIRIM in strategic meetings, committees, and industry platforms.
• Provide advisory services, Focal Point for central Agencies and reports.
• Develop, formulate, and implement strategic and business planning initiatives for SIRIM Group to ensure long-term sustainability and support informed decision‑making.
• Plan, manage and implement strategic and business planning frameworks and planning outcomes for SIRIM Group for the short, medium and long term.
• Lead and manage the preparation of reports on strategy issues, challenges and choices for SIRIM Group to provide planning and policy advice on matters affecting the future business sustainability.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 9 years' experience in a strategy consulting or strategic planning role, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and driving successful organisational change
• Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to support strategic decision‑making
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present to senior leaders
• Strong competencies in strategic formulation, report writing, strategic foresight, and the Balanced Scorecard.
