Responsibilities

The Electrical Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with engineers, contractors, and clients, managing electrical subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Review electrical designs, specifications, and construction drawings. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
  • On-Site Management: Supervise electrical installations, testing, and commissioning. Ensure compliance with all relevant specifications and requirements. Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Team & Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to schedules. Conduct site meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections. Ensure all electrical work meets industry standards and client requirements. Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to design challenges. Report on financial performance and variances.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and all relevant stakeholders. Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction. Prepare and present project updates to senior management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years in electrical construction, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems (HV/LV, power distribution, lighting, controls).
  • Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project, or Procore.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Environment
  • Site-based in nature with occasional office work.
  • Must adhere to strict safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
