Job description
About RUBIX

At RUBIX, we care about stories that matter – the kind that shape culture, spark curiosity and connect people. We work with clients across the arts, culture, heritage and technology, helping them translate ideas into narratives the public actually cares about.

What You Will Do:
  • Turn ideas into Stories – Conceptualise campaign and messaging hooks, cultural narratives, experience and PR angles that resonate with real people. You will be part of the creative engine that shapes how story appears in the world.
  • Write Thoughtfully – Draft press releases, feature angles, content and talking points that match newsroom logic and cultural relevance. Writing is important, but it’s just one part of the storytelling process.
  • Turn Communication into Relationships – Build and maintain connections with journalists, creators, partners and clients. You should enjoy conversations and be comfortable speaking to people on calls, over or at events.
  • Stay Culturally Curious – Research trends across arts, culture, heritage and tech. Follow news cycles. Explore ideas. Curious is not an extra; it’s the job.
  • Support On-ground Storytelling – Join walkthroughs, attend events, guide media, gather insights and help shape narrative that lives beyond the words.
Who We Are Looking For:
  • A mind that connects dots: You can spot patterns across culture, tech and news, and turn them into meaningful ideas.
  • A thinker who can write: Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu (and Mandarin is a bonus!).
  • A person who enjoys conversations: PR is human work. You should be comfortable reaching out, following-up and building trust.
  • A collaborator with initiative: You take ownership, ask questions and aren’t afraid to propose an idea.

If you are a Malaysian and have one year of experience in Communications, Public Relations or English-related studies, we want to hear from you! Fresh graduates with strong writing samples are welcome. You also have to be comfortable working in an environment with pets.
