Job summary

A leading glass manufacturing company is looking for an experienced engineer to develop and optimize production processes. The role involves planning, coordinating production tests, and overseeing projects. Candidates should have a degree in mechanical, material, or manufacturing engineering and at least three years of relevant experience in the semiconductor or optical industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. This position is based in Penang, Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor or optical industry.
  • Ability to perform under minimal guidance.
  • Optical knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process and production concepts for existing processes.
  • Identify necessary production processes and capacities.
  • Plan and control production tests and new production lines.
  • Participate in purchasing negotiations with suppliers.
