Job Summary

The individual contributes towards providing administrative support services and business planning support to senior leadership members (also known as Service Recipients) under a hybrid working model with flexible arrangements.

Where required, the individual will also provide leadership capabilities and line management for the team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Ensure day-to-day operations adhere to the department operating instruction (“DOI”) manual, processes, and guidelines, applying all relevant risk, regulatory/compliance, financial, policies/processes, and controls.
  • Partner with Group Enablement Services and relevant Standard Chartered Group (“the Group”) leaders to contribute to the Group’s RoTE and support strategic initiatives.
  • Support the BPM to the service recipient (“SR”) by preparing, implementing, delivering, and expanding SR’s programme of work and strategic plans.

Business

  • Assist, plan, and support the Service Recipient and/or the Group’s leadership in delivering business and financial objectives.
  • Monitor the development, implementation, and performance of business-critical topics.
  • Review new business requirements and provide solutions when needed.

Financial Performance

  • Adhere to financial controls to ensure performance of SR’s programme or departmental budget.
  • Drive continuous improvements in productivity and cost efficiencies.

Processes

  • Perform activities in line with the Group’s policies, guidelines, and standards, as per the Operational Risk framework.
  • Ensure quality service is rendered to the Service Recipient (“SR”), including planning of backup resources.
  • Monitor the delivery of the programme or SR to ensure performance and quality align with established standards and benchmarks.
  • Support the SR in their membership of committees and meetings.
  • Design and ensure systems, processes, and methodologies specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery.
  • Provide support to ensure delivery of objectives in governance, people, financials, regulatory, audits, and communications responsibilities.

Business and Communications

  • Produce Townhall material, offsite agendas, and supporting materials.
  • Support the Leadership Team (LT) with business travel agendas.
  • Develop and implement the Managed Services Portfolio page on the bank’s platform.
  • Produce monthly updates on footprint, cost, and organizational structure.
  • Manage team Objectives and Key Results (OKR), summarizing insights and tracking performance.
  • Follow up on outstanding action items with peers and cross teams.
  • Consolidate internal training plans and design a new joiner training roadmap.
  • Manage new joiner, celebrations, and festive communications.

Hiring

  • Act as the central point of record for open Job Requisitions (JR), tracking progress and escalating when necessary.

Team Engagement, MyVoice, and Team Wellbeing

  • Define and drive the “better place to work” plan.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure success.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an Operations, Business or Functions role, with close proximity to a Head of Department and/or C-suite leadership in an international firm (preferred)
  • Excellent networking and communication skills, with ability to influence and manage stakeholders from various backgrounds, preferably with international exposure.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in project or operations management.

Qualifications

  • We value your practical and hands-on experience in the above domains.
  • Any industry certifications in the Risk & CFCR domains are most welcome (e.g., IRM, CISSP, ACAMS, ICA).
  • Any industry certifications in the Business or Product domain are most welcome.
