Job summary

A prominent FMCG company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a candidate to manage sales performance and pursue strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for leading new business acquisitions, ensuring timely product listings, and reviewing performance with distributors. Ideal candidates have a diploma in Business, at least 3 years of experience in modern trade with FMCG companies, and strong communication and analytical skills. This role offers a chance to significantly impact sales and distributor relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience with key accounts in modern trade for well-known FMCG companies.
  • Experience in distributor management, modern trade, general trade, or food service is a plus.

  • Identify strategic initiatives and acquire new business.

Job description

Identify and pursue strategic initiatives and opportunities within key customers and new business acquisitions.

Accountable & responsible for Sell Out sales performance for distributor by category by channel.

Lead efforts in acquiring new business by profiling potential prospects and maintaining relationships.

Manage and monitor the regional budget.

Timely listing of new products into key account according to launch plan.

Review monthly and quarterly sales performance, business review and promotion effectiveness with distributor and buyer to align both sell-out and sell-in by category.

Prepare business plan presentation to the distributor and customer.

To ensure distributors implement the agreed action plans within the stipulated time frame and submit required reports on the results achieved upon execution of the action plans.

Skills & knowledge requirements:
  1. Possess a minimum diploma in Business or any relevant field.
  2. Ideally, candidate with 3 years of experience working with key accounts in modern trade for well-known FMCG companies (IKA, LKA, or Food Service).
  3. Experience in distributor management; additional experience in modern trade, general trade, or food service is a plus
  4. Ability to particulate product and/or value offerings.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical skills and interpersonal are a must.
  7. Positive, motivated attitude.
  8. Good in computer skills, particularly excel skills.
