Overview

The Account Relationship Manager is responsible for driving commercial banking sales and delivering sales targets assigned by management. This role reports to the Manager, Business & Corporate Banking (CMB Centre).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Portfolio Management
  • Acquire new account relationships.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing Commercial Banking Account relationships to grow both funded income and non-funded income.
  • Write credit applications for new account acquisition and ensure timely review and renewal of existing accounts.
  • Ensure acceptable asset quality of the existing portfolio by being proactive and up-to-date with market intelligence related to accounts and industry.
  • Work closely with product partners including Trade Services, Global Markets, and Deposit & Liability Management to meet clients' financial and banking needs comprehensively.
  • Ensure banking facilities offered to clients comply with credit lending policies.
  • Maintain the asset quality of the bank at all times.
Account Prospecting
  • Identify and contact prospects.
  • Evaluate prospects' financing needs.
  • Assess and submit Credit Applications to Wholesale Credit.
  • Prepare and follow up on offer acceptance.
Account Management
  • Monitor utilization.
  • Review borrower’s facilities periodically or annually.
  • Maintain contact with customers through site visitations, etc.
  • Explore cross-selling opportunities.
Jobholder Requirements:
