Job Description
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Oversee the financial closing process (IFRS and local), audits, and ICS processes in collaboration with the GBS Team.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting financial statements (both IFRS and local) and conducting cost analysis.
- Ensure adherence to group standards, policies, and directives.
- Fulfill all reporting requirements from the region and group.
- Analyze the financial performance of the region, providing actionable insights to improve or maintain financial profitability.
- Collaborate with the GBS controlling team to set regional standards aligned with group guidance.
- Report to the Regional CFO and Regional Management on the region's financial performance, including KPIs, shortfalls, and potential mitigation measures.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as required by management.
- Oversee sales controlling, SCM controlling, overhead expense controlling, and operations controlling.
- Conduct monthly business reviews with countries to ensure financial targets are met.
- Identify and report risks and opportunities to the regional management team.
- Conduct post-investment reviews for M&A activities (if applicable).
- Review financing requests and assess dividend payouts.
- Own the target-setting and planning process for the annual budgeting cycle.
- Manage the budgeting process, including setting targets, monitoring progress, and supporting countries with ongoing reviews at Country, Area, and Regional levels.
People Coordination / Management:
- May coordinate and lead the GBS controlling staff, including areas like succession planning, training, coaching, communication, organizational development, and people development.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Controller should have:
- University degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Professional accountancy certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is desired.
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of relevant accounting and system development experience in an industrial environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with accounting for consolidated entities, cost accounting, and budgeting.
- Strong communication skills, with assertiveness in dealing with stakeholders.
- High attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and the ability to connect different aspects of business.
