Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business and software
requirements into well-structured technical documentation. This role ensures alignment between business
stakeholders and the development team by producing high-quality Software Requirements Specifications
(SRS) and Software Design Documents (SDD). As a key liaison, this individual contributes to project
planning & management, user experience mock-ups, and system validation via User Acceptance Testing
(UAT), driving the delivery of REDtone’s innovative software solutions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Gathering:
Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions (interviews, workshops, surveys) with internal and external stakeholders. Understand and document business objectives and user needs.
- Analyze and Validate Requirements:
Perform gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to ensure clarity, consistency, and completeness of business and functional requirements.
- Prepare SRS and SDD Documents:
Develop high-quality Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and Software Design Documents (SDD) that align with technical and business expectations.
- Bridge Between Business and Development Teams:
Act as a liaison to ensure mutual understanding between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into system functionality.
- Develop Mockups and User Flows:
Create wireframes, screen mockups, and user flow diagrams to visualize system design and user interactions, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Support Agile Project Delivery:
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning & management, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming to maintain project momentum and clarity.
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
Design UAT test cases, plan and coordinate execution with business users, log defects, and ensure final product meets acceptance criteria.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality:
Enforce adherence to documentation standards, project governance frameworks, and software quality benchmarks.
- Drive Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve analysis processes, tools, and templates, and implement best practices across the business analysis function.
Qualifications and requirements
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Certifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) preferred.
