Job description

Responsible for developing and testing new products by searching, identifying and applying the most appropriate technology to achieve the desired results.

Responsible for testing new raw materials for developing and improving products.

Provide technical expertise in the development of new products and improvements to existing ones.

Plan, execute, and evaluate projects while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Resolve technical issues during product development, including production, operations, and performance challenges.

To improve and revise existing product formulations and process if necessary to optimize productivity and cost.

Manage a portfolio of R&D projects focused on new and innovative technologies, including raw materials, ingredients, equipment, packaging, and processes.

Collaborate with internal teams (Quality Assurance, Export, Supply Chain Management) and external partners to manage product development projects from concept to commercialization.

Manage new products costing for both new and existing products.

Stay updated on industry trends, consumer insights, and competitor strategies through competitor product analysis.

Apply independent analytical and creative thinking to develop proper procedures, planning, and follow-up strategies.

Demonstrate adaptability in handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines through effective time management.

Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop recipes, write procedures, and create process parameter control plans.

Perform other duties as assigned by management as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Nutrition, Baking Science and Technology, Flour Milling Science, or a related field.

Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience in Research and Development within the bakery industry, specializing in bread, pastry, and cake.

Proven experience in finished product formulation, improvement, and commercialization in an industrial bakery or food manufacturing environment.

Solid understanding of food production and processing, along with comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, and HALAL.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrates a structured and disciplined approach to planning, managing, and completing projects successfully.

Ability to work effectively under a fast-paced environment, while maintaining focus and delivering quality results.
