About the Role

As Branch Manager, you will lead the local team to achieve country goals and KPIs while implementing strategies aligned with regional and group principles. The role emphasizes quality‑driven growth, expanding market share and opening new business opportunities, supported by strong financial management and organisational development. You will be responsible for enhancing competitiveness, improving performance, and ensuring service excellence, combining strategic vision with operational leadership to drive the long‑term success of our Malaysia operations. This position reports directly to the General Manager APAC and collaborates closely with regional leadership to ensure alignment and impact across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the local team to achieve country goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
  • Drive business development and growth in cooperation with the marketing & sales team, expanding market share and opening new opportunities.
  • Carry full profit & loss responsibility with strong financial and cost management to support sustainable success.
  • Oversee technical, commercial, and operational areas, collaborating closely with global and regional heads in Marketing/Sales, HR, Finance/Controlling, QMS and other functions.
  • Implement defined strategies with the local team, ensuring effective execution and measurable results.
  • Manage and motivate employees, ensuring consistent HR practices, training and development in partnership with regional APAC HR.
  • Strengthen organisational structures and competitiveness, fostering cooperation, synergy and market orientation within the APAC region.
  • Prepare budgets and medium/long‑term plans to support sustainable growth and performance improvement.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years in management roles. Experience in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) textiles or manufacturing sectors will be an advantage.
  • Strong background in business development, customer acquisition and relationship management.
  • Several years of successful leadership in the Malaysian market, with exposure to multicultural environments.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian work culture combined with alignment to international company values.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with commitment to ambitious goals, efficient processes and organisational structures.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, financial performance and P&L accountability.
  • Experience in overseeing day‑to‑day operations and driving process improvements.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements, risk management and governance standards.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams, strengthen collaboration across APAC and encourage independence and responsibility.
  • Empathy, conflict management, and collaboration skills; acts as a role‑model and promotes open communication.
