A leading global agricultural company is seeking a Best Practice Engineer in Malaysia to apply engineering techniques for improving manufacturing processes. The role includes providing technical support, project management, and ensuring efficient plant operations. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering Science or related field, with preferably 2 years of experience in the Palm Oil industry. Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project are essential.
The Best Practice Engineer applies engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement and project management skills in a plant support capacity that ensures safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations.
You will handle manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
Assesses current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for improvements.
To implement Best Practices from Manufacturing Excellence Program, identify the gaps, provide and execute action plan.
Helps in conducting tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over such variables as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity.
Be the champion to implement Manufacturing Excellence (ME) program such as stable ops program, Process Operability and Controllability (POC) in production and packaging department, to provide trainings and facilitate activities in ME programs.
Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Other minimum qualifications may apply
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science, or any other related subjects or minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably from Palm Oil industry in engineering role.
Has experience in running refinery processes – Multistock deodorizer, Palm oil fractionation and Hydrogenation plant, involvement in product planning/ development
Experience in operating Refinery and Neutralizing and have basic understanding of process plant reliability concept
Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
Possesses working knowledge of engineering subject matter
Use of PI (data historian), ACAD (auto CAD), MS Project programs
Project management experience gained through prior experience
Possess good interpersonal skills, result oriented and a strong team player
Can work with all level of people in the organization and have trouble shooting skill and experience
