Job description

TECHNICIAN SPECIALIST/ TECHNICAL LEADER/ AUTOMOTIVE FOREMAN

Responsibilities

• To supervise all Technician under his charge and to be responsible for the work performed by them.
• Analyze and carry out diagnosis work based on customer concern.
• Test drive the concern car to verify, determine and understand customer concern.
• Carry out diagnose activity with recommended special tools as per workshop manual, Service Bulletin, Newsletter and Technical Information.
• To prepare report (MIR, PAR, PCRS and EWP) to any related department for assistant (if no Master Technician available at service outlet).
• Guide technician in troubleshooting and rectification.
• Establish and monitor on‑job training for Apprentice Technician/Trainee.
• To authorize and confirm parts need to be replaced.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of workshop area.
• To perform Quality Check for every vehicle.
• To audit technician tools based on ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
• Request additional assistant from technical assistant for any further technical diagnosis problem solving.
• To prepare & monitor technician skill chart.
• To carry out yearly Competency Assessment for all Technician.
• Execute & implement any Job assignment & instruction given by Superior.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive / SKM Level 5; or
• Min SKM Level 3 & with 5 years of working experience in related field
