Automation Specialist
Job Description

We are looking for an Automation Specialist to expand our automation capabilities across product configuration, testing, monitoring, and related operational processes. This role will enable faster, defect-free product launches while ensuring post-launch stability for CelcomDigi. The candidate will work collaboratively with Service Delivery, Project Delivery, Quality Excellence, and Platform Operations to implement automation solutions and improve overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions across product configuration, testing, monitoring and other operational workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Project Delivery, Quality Excellence, and Platform Operations to analyze existing manual processes, identify automation opportunities, and develop automation solutions.
  • Expand automation test coverage progressively by creating reusable test components and establishing continuous integration pipelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on automation tools, frameworks, and best practices to build internal automation capabilities across functions.
  • Monitor and maintain existing automation infrastructure, troubleshoot failures, and continuously optimise execution performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Research and evaluate emerging automation technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automation development, including test automation, process automation, or configuration automation.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting such as Python, Bash, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks like Robot, Selenium, Appium, RPA tools and experienced in configuring CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of mobile/web application architecture,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
