Job summary

A leading logistics provider in Sarawak seeks an Assistant Supervisor for Distribution Center Operations. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team to achieve key performance indicators. Candidates should have a diploma in business administration and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and proficiency in Excel are essential. The position is based in Kuching and aims to maintain optimal warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Title: Assistant Supervisor Distribution Center Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • To actively participate and assist in all areas of the Kuching Distribution Centre (DC) operational processes including the security of the DC, occupational health and safety of the staff, control of warehouse environment and administrative functions. Assist and monitor the entire Outbound Operation.
  • To motivate, train, coach, and lead the team as to ensure effective operation procedures and meeting the company’s KPIs.
  • To supervise and maintain discipline of all personnel under his charge as to follow the warehouse rules and regulations.
  • To ensure the activities under his charge compliance with GxP and other areas related to Occupational, Safety & Health Acts.
  • To check and process immediately all outgoing or other related issuing goods under these circumstances after performing documentation and physical check in accordance to stipulated SOPs.
  • To monitor and ensure accuracy of the picking, sorting, checking, packing, weighing and labeling or other related activities under these circumstances is in accordance to the stipulated SOPs.
  • To attend to all urgent orders and any assigned tasks promptly and ensuring completion of the assigned tasks.
  • To ensure the TCP plan is executed and complete the pick, pack and handover the stock to Despatch as per agreed lead time.
  • To monitor and lead the team to maintain up to date physical housekeeping and bin integrity.
  • To ensure all necessary documentation and other related documents are properly kept track and filed for future reference
  • To report promptly to the Executive and Manager in charge if there are any incidents of indiscipline of the staff and other matters that affect the optimal performance of the warehouse operations.
  • To report promptly to the Executive and Manager in charge of any irregular matters that are not in accordance to the SOPs that will affect the operations, safety, health and environment of the warehouse.
  • To ensure to the close the SCUBA ticket’s as per the SLA with effective CAPA.
  • To provide reports that are assigned by Executive in charge and/or the management in a timely manner.
  • To monitor and unsure the team to maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the workstations and warehouse in a neat, clean, standardized and tidy condition in accordance to 7S.
  • To undertake any duties and responsibilities assigned by the Executive in charge and/or the management.
  • To ensure the IKA deliveries have been arranged as per the requested RDD and the packing and stacking are followed as per the requirement
  • To responsible for orders recording and distribute activity (Record, Stamp, Assign to pickers)
  • To assist as backup Checker for dispatch activity when required and ensure products picked are accurately and promptly by pickers.
  • To ensure products are packed correctly to prevent potential damage from improper handling and transportation.
  • To assist with GPOD activity (Create LM) when required.
  • To assist with Returned Local POD activity (Checking, Sorting, Update, Filling) when required.
  • To help staff to print pick face when arrival incoming.
  • To assist as checker for checking the arrival stocks when required
  • To assist with STO Processing in the SAP system for the checked and released stocks when required.
  • To be responsible for AQC documentation preparation.
  • To practice SMART Inbound process.
  • To assist for CO to CN / SIRA to GR Processing in the SAP system for Trade Return
  • To take out good stock from TRA holding area for staff to put away to storage area after CN generated.
  • To perform Bin location count by monthly or when required
  • To be authorized staff for handling Psychotropic/Controlled/Cytotoxic products (Incoming until put away/ Dispatch/ Stock count (Monthly or ad-hoc)
  • To undertake any additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/certificate in Business Administration, SupplyChain Management, Logistics Management or relatedfield.
  • Minimum one to three years’ experience in a similarrole.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge in warehousing,distribution, transport, inventory and supply chainprocesses.
  • Demonstrate working understanding of network design methodologies and relevant systems.
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactionsDemonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally inEnglish, both written and spoken.
